When Audrey became seriously ill, her family needed to be together, close to her care.
For 40 years, people like you have helped families stay close when it matters most. Today, another family needs that same support.
A place to call home, when home is far away.
Just weeks after Audrey's first birthday, a routine health check led to news no parent expects to hear. Audrey had an aggressive brain cancer.
For her parents, Maddy and Sam, the months that followed brought surgeries, chemotherapy and hospital stays, while they also cared for Audrey’s big brother, Elliott.
The family lives on the Mornington Peninsula, but Audrey needed specialised treatment at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
While one parent was with Audrey, the other could spend time with Elliott, keeping familiar routines of meals, playtime and bedtime.
And Elliott had his own name for the House, “his city home.”
For Maddy and Sam, it meant being close to Audrey’s care without having to be separated as a family.
Your donation today can help make sure the next family has that same support when their child is ill.
