Small moments of care matter. Our Family Rooms – steps away from paediatric or intensive care units and run by our friendly volunteers – offer a calm space where your family can take a moment to breathe.
Enjoy a cup of tea or a meal, play, take a shower, connect as a family, or simply rest, so you can regain the strength you need to be there for your child.
Take a break, be together, and find a kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities. For your comfort, we have a cosy lounge area and quiet room for rest, as well as space for the kids to play.
The Family Room is located on Level 4,
next to the Starlight Room.
Step away from the ward and into our comforting Family Room, where you’ll find a kitchen, complimentary refreshments and meals, a family lounge, dining area and space for the kids to play.
The Family Room is located in the Children’s Ward,
on Level 6.
Find a fully equipped kitchen stocked with ingredients and meals, a large family bathroom and laundry amenities. You can relax in our spacious lounge and dining area, or retreat to our quiet room for some privacy. Our Family Room has an outdoor deck for a breath of fresh air, and a courtyard playground for the kids to play. We also have two overnight rooms, for families with children in NICU and PICU.
The Family Room is located on the Wodonga Campus of Albury Wodonga Health on Level 2, close to the Special Care Unit and the Maternity Ward.
Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are run by a dedicated team of volunteers, under the leadership of our Family Room Program Coordinators.
We want to make sure you have a calm space to be together away from the clinical environment of the ward, even when you can’t leave the Hospital. That’s why our Family Rooms are free and open to all families whose children are undergoing treatment.
