McDonald’s
More than 50 years ago, the first Ronald McDonald House was built thanks to our founding and forever partner, McDonald’s. Today, they remain committed and passionate about supporting us.
While McDonald’s is our largest corporate partner, we are also an independent charity that relies on many sources of support to fund our growing programs.
The Vaccari Foundation
Casa Elda Vaccari in Fitzroy North has a century-old history. The building is named after Elda Vaccari, a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to helping others. In 2015, the Vaccari Foundation sought to repurpose the building, while continuing its legacy of community service. Registered charities were invited to submit applications to occupy the building, and Ronald McDonald House Victoria & Tasmania was selected.
Following renovations, Ronald McDonald House North Fitzroy at Casa Elda Vaccari opened in 2018. Now, we provide a home away from home for up to 25 families at a time, and Elda Vaccari’s spirit continues to touch the lives of those in need.
