Small moments of care matter. Our Family Rooms, steps away from paediatric or intensive care units, offer a calm space where your family can take a moment to breathe.
Run by our friendly volunteers, you can enjoy a cup of tea or a meal, play, take a shower, connect as a family, or simply rest, so you can regain the strength needed to be there for your child.
Take a break and be together, and find a full kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities. For the comfort of our families, we have a cosy lounge area, a quiet room for rest and relaxation, as well as space for the kids to play.
The Family Room is located on Level 4,
next to the Starlight Room.
Step away from the ward and into our inviting Family Room, where you’ll find kitchen and bathroom facilities, complimentary refreshments, comfortable family lounge and dining area and space for the kids to play.
The Family Room is located in the Children’s Ward,
on Level 6.
Find a fully equipped kitchen stocked with essential items and emergency meals, a large family bathroom and complimentary laundry amenities. Enjoy home-prepared meals in our spacious lounge and dining area, or retreat to our quiet room for some peace and privacy. Our Family Room has a relaxing outdoor deck for a breath of fresh air, and a courtyard playground for the kids to play.
The Family Room is located on the Wodonga Campus of Albury Wodonga Health on Level 2, close to the Special Care Unit and the Maternity Ward.
Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are run by a dedicated team of volunteers, under the leadership of our Family Room Program Coordinators.
We want to make sure families have a home-away-from-home inside the Hospital, away from the clinical environment of the ward. That’s why our Family Room is free and open to all families whose children are undergoing treatment within the hospital.
Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are free of charge. Thanks to generous donations, families have a space away from the wards to simply be together.
